After graduating with a BA (hons) in 3-Dimensional Design and finally figuring out what to do with his life, Paul completed a PGDE and became a Technical Teacher. The Scottish Educational Curriculum was beginning to change when he started teaching, and Paul took this as an opportunity to give the old Technological Studies a complete update, and it was this work that caught people’s attention. This led him to not only write the National 5 Engineering Science Study Guide, but also the Higher one for Bright Red Publishing.

Originally from the small town of Bonnybridge in the Central Belt, this teaching path took him to Aberdeen, and eventually onto Aberdeenshire where he now happily lives with his wife and two boys.
