Although we are confident that we publish some of the best available revision books for Scottish students, we don’t claim to be experts on what it is like to sit exams, or the best ways of dealing with stress.
Fortunately there are people out there with some pretty good advice on all manner of things that might help you out if you are beginning to think about thinking about beginning to revise, so we have collected together some links to have a look at. These links will take you outside of the Bright Red website, and we can’t be held responsible for anyone else’s views, but a lot of this information is well worth a look.
There are some basic rules which you should bear in mind as you do your best to prepare for exams, whether you have 6 months to go, or 6 hours.
-
Don’t panic
-
Try to organise your time
-
Eat well
-
Try to get plenty of exercise and plenty of sleep (not at the same time)
-
Use the best material that you can to revise from (see this site’s catalogue for suggestions)

Don’t panic
One of the best ways to reduce exam stress is to be as prepared as possible, and one of the ways to this is to use really good revision books to help you. Go to the catalogue, or use the menu at the left of the page.
We have tried to compile a list of links below to information that we think people will find useful, so do have a look, and if you find any sites that you think are particularly good, please let us know and we will add the link to this page.
